A sequel for The Batman has been officially confirmed to be in development by Warner Bros.
While it was known from almost the start that The Batman was planned to be the first installment in a trilogy, today brought official confirmation from Warner Bros. that the sequel is indeed happening.
The announcement came during a presentation at CinemaCon today. During this presentation, Matt Reeves confirmed that he would be returning to write and direct the sequel but didn’t offer any further details as to what the sequel would be about.
No release window has been hinted at for The Batman sequel. And while plot details are officially unknown, it stands to reason that the mid-credits scene for the first film provides a solid clue as to what (or who) could be involved in the film.
