Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Sinners, the upcoming horror/action film from director Ryan Coogler. It looks incredible.
The next film from Ryan Coogler is taking a different approach, giving audiences some horror, thriller, and action all mixed up together. Today brings the first teaser for the secretive project, offering a chilling look at what’s to come.
While the teaser is playing coy about the supernatural elements at play here, initial reports from the beginning of filming pin this as a vampire period-piece. Based on what we’re seeing here, we’re in for something wild and special. It may be a “vibes only” kind of trailer, but they’re immaculate.
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Coogler, “Sinners” stars Jordan (the “Black Panther” and “Creed” franchises) in a dual role, joined by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (“Bumblebee,” “True Grit”), Jack O’Connell (“Ferrari”), Wunmi Mosaku (“Passenger”), Jayme Lawson (“The Woman King”), Omar Benson Miller (“True Lies”) and Delroy Lindo (“Da 5 Bloods”).
Sinners hits theaters on March 7, 2025.
