This morning finally gives us another trailer for Sony’s Morbius movie, offering plenty of Easter eggs for Spider-Man fans, and plenty of vampire action.
Wild to think it’s been almost TWO years since the first Morbius trailer (we got a new Joker appearance from Jared Leto while we were waiting!), but after a whole bunch of pandemic related delays, we finally have a new look at the film.
Honestly, I’m digging it. They’ve definitely nailed the LOOK of Morbius and, despite some goofy dialog references, it just looks like a whole lot of fun. In some ways, it reminds me of the older late 90s/early 00s comic book films. Silly, over-the-top, but embraces the goofy and has fun doing it.
One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?
Morbius is set to hit theaters on January 28, 2022.
