Fans of RWBY have a lot to get excited about, as the RTX Animation Festival dropped some big announcements about the franchise.
This year’s RTX Animation Festival featured a big RWBY panel that had some huge announcements to drop. The most important of these was the announcement that a crossover film featuring RWBY and the Justice League is in the works. This film will be an original story based on a RWBY/Justice League crossover comic series that proved to be extremely popular.
But that’s not all. Fans also got a sneak peek at volume 9 of RWBY, which is set to premiere in early 2023. A teaser trailer was also released for volume 9 and you can view it below:
After the harrowing events of Volume 8, our heroines are thrust into an unknown world – the Ever After! However, once Team RWBY explores this strange and mysterious realm, they quickly discover it might not be quite as unknown as they first assumed. As they journey to find a way back home, they’ll have to overcome some of their toughest challenges yet – the struggle of their own identities, and whether or not they’re equipped to stop Salem.
Finally, fans were treated to a preview of the upcoming RWBY 2D-action-adventure video game RWBY: Arrowfell:
RWBY: Arrowfell is set to be available in the fall of 2022.
