Today, 20th Century Studios announced it would begin filming the ninth installment of Ridley Scotts ALIEN series. The film will begin production in the beautiful Capital of Hungary, Budapest, and has a great cast lined out for the movie:
- Cailee Spaeny (“Mare of Easttown”)
- David Jonsson (“Industry”)
- Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”)
- Isabela Merced (“Rosaline”)
- Spike Fearn (“The Batman”)
- Aileen Wu (“Away from Home”)
There is no news on whether this will be a sequel of 2017th Alien: Covenant, but after the ending of that film I can only hope that we will see the story continue. 20th Century Fox did give us just a bring bit on what the story will pertain to and boy is it bleak;
In this ninth entry in the immensely popular and enduring film series, a group of young people on a distant world find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “The Girl in the Spider’s Web,” “Don’t Breathe”) is set to direct the film, while Ridley Scott, and Michael Pruss will be producing under their Scott Free banner. Brent O’Connor , Elizabeth Cantillon, and Tom Moran will be executive producers on the film as well.
There is no set date for the films release as of yet, but with the cast and production team this film has, we can be expecting it to be one hell of a bloody time! Check back here for more news.
