Star Wars Celebration Anaheim Cancelled

Well, it was inevitable, but Star Wars and ReedPOP have officially cancelled this year’s Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.

From Star Wars dot com…

At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020.

And while there is no word on a possible digital/online version, there is some good news as the popular event will return, albeit at a later date…

While this news is disappointing, we are happy to announce that Star Wars Celebration will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 18-21, 2022.

While it’s disappointing to be sure, this is absolutely the right call by Star Wars and ReedPOP. With so much uncertainty still surrounding the pandemic and cases continuing to trouble many parts of the country and world, both companies have rightly placed the safety of its fans atop their list of concerns.

If you have purchased tickets or merchandise and want to know what your options are, please visit www.starwarscelebration.com. Note, ticket refund and merchandise credit request period will open on Monday, June 22 and must be completed by August 26, 2020.

See you all in 2022!
