Well, I was not interested in watching yet another incarnation of a Cinderella story, not even the slightest. Then Amazon released the official video for Cinderella starring Camila Cabello and I guess my mind has been changed.
I must say that I am not a big musical (show or movie) guy, but every now and then there comes one that grabs my attention, and I guess for 2021 this is the one.
Cinderella is a musically-driven bold new take on the traditional story you grew up with. Our heroine (Cabello) is an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fairy-Godmother – “Fab G” (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true.
Written for the screen and directed by Kay Cannon with covers of songs written by some of the top-selling musical artists of all time, Cinderella has an all-star cast that includes Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, with Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan.
Cinderella will be available for streaming on Sept 3rd on Amazon Prime.
