This morning brings our first full trailer for DC’s League of Super Pets, showing off the world’s finest superhero animals.
I can’t say I’ve been looking forward to DC League of Super Pets. Despite having an impressive voice cast, not much really appealed to me about it. That’s all changed now, as this first trailer makes it look surprisingly great:
Between the animation and humor, there’s a lot to like about what we see in this lengthy first look. I also really dig the idea of seeing these regular shelter animals getting powers and having to work together as a team. Makes a bit more sense than simply being the pets of the iconic heroes. All in all, this looks like it could be a lot of fun.
In “DC League of Super-Pets,” Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.
DC League of Super-Pets is set to hit theaters on May 20, 2022.
