Sony Pictures Animation has revealed the first look at The Garfield Movie, bringing the iconic lasagna-loving cat to the big screen for a new adventure.
Garfield is back and this time he’s bringing the baby cuteness along with a long-lost father. Today, Sony has dropped the first trailer for the upcoming animated film (starring Chris Pratt), offering a look at the animation and story:
Funny enough, I actually spent the weekend watching old episodes of the Garfield cartoon series with my youngest. Surprisingly, this trailer reminded me quite a bit of that show and the humor. I’m not entirely sold just yet, but the animation is solid and the vibes feel on point, so I’m willing to be wowed.
Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
The Garfield Movie hits theaters on May 24, 2024.
