This morning brings the first trailer for Blue Beetle, the upcoming DC film that gives the character their first big screen outing!
DC has been having a rough go of it. With both Black Adam and Shazam 2 doing poorly, and a looming DCU “reboot” of sorts on the horizon, fans have been a bit skeptical. Blue Beetle feels like something of a wild card considering we’re not entirely sure where it fits in with the new plan.
Considering it’s launching AFTER The Flash it could very easily be part of the new plan going forward (which is something I’ve personally heard), but it also started production well before this new plan was in place!
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter as a good movie is a good movie regardless of its connection to other things. Based off this first trailer, it sure looks like we’re in for a really damn good time.
Seriously, this looks all sorts of fun, with some great humor, impressive visuals, and some slick looking action.
