Warner Bros. has revealed the first trailer for The Watchers, a new horror film that marks Ishana Night Shyamalan’s directorial debut!
To be honest, I completely forgot this film (from M. Night Shyamalan’s daughter, Ishana), was even a thing. I’m very glad this trailer reminded me about it though, as The Watchers, based on the novel of the same name, looks pretty incredible.
This…looks great. The eerie vibes are on point, the knowledge of the unseen monsters keeps the tension at an all time high, and best of all…it feels like old-school M. Night Shyamalan. Sure seems like Ishana Night Shyamalan has nailed this one and I’m eager to see the rest of it.
From producer M. Night Shyamalan comes “The Watchers,” written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.
You can’t see them, but they see everything.
The Watchers is set to hit theaters on June 7, 2024.
