First Look Finally Revealed for ‘The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim’

The first official look at The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is finally here and it was worth the wait!

Along with reports that 20 minutes of footage was shown at the Annecy Animation Festival, the first official look at The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim has been revealed and it looks incredible.

The story is set 200 years before The Hobbit and is set in the time of Helm Hammerhand, a legendary king of Rohan (Helm’s Deep in The Two Towers was named for him). In the images below, you see Princess Hera of Rohan standing next to her father King Helm. The image below that features Wulf, the main antagonist, and the final picture is a closer shot of Hera.

The art style looks absolutely stunning, and it feels totally fitting for the world of The Lord of the Rings. I think these visuals will go a long way toward calming fears many had about the film.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim comes to theaters on December 13, 2024.
