Dracula’s Servant Deserves Happiness in Final Renfield Trailer

Universal has released a final trailer for Renfield, showing off more action, more humor, and more of Nic Cage’s Dracula.

One of Universal’s most iconic monsters, Dracula, returns to the big screen next month in Renfield. While his assistant is getting the spotlight this time, that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of bloody vampire action to enjoy. Especially if this final trailer is anything to go by.

Much like the first trailer, the latest look at Renfield is not at all what I was expecting. There’s more action than anticipated (though I was expecting plenty of humor/comedy), but I’m still pretty on board with what’s going on here. At the very least, it looks like a hoot.

In this modern monster tale of Dracula’s loyal servant, Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men franchise) stars as Renfield, the tortured aide to history’s most narcissistic boss, Dracula (Oscar® winner Nicolas Cage). Renfield is forced to procure his master’s prey and do his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, after centuries of servitude, Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness. If only he can figure out how to end his codependency.

Renfield hits theaters on April 14, 2023.
