Among today’s CinemaCon features, we were treated to a new, extended version of the original trailer for DC Studios’ first feature film, James Gunn’s newest take on the Big Blue Boyscout, Superman. Check it out on YouTube or right here:
Those of you who were hoping for new teases for additional secrets may be a bit disappointed, as this sneak peek is largely just more footage surrounding events we have already seen in the trailer, but for those of you (like me) who were champing at the bit for a longer look at the best boy, Krypto the Superdog, you’re in for a real treat!
There’s not much more to be said for this one other than it’s worth the four and a half minutes of your time if you’re in any way a fan of the character. James Gunn continues to display his love for these characters in every new cape movie he helms, and not even in the much-vaunted Guardians of the Galaxy movies does it shine through as brightly as it does here. Give it a watch, you won’t be disappointed.
Superman, starring David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Isabela Merced and Edi Gathegi, is set to hit theaters July 11 of this year.
