The Last Dragon Finally Comes to 4K Ultra HD this September

The baddest Shogun in Harlem and Leroy Green will finally face off in 4K this September as the classic martial arts film, The Last Dragon, hits the Ultra HD format.

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this. The Last Dragon is a cheesy martial arts film, but in some of the best ways possible. Even as you laugh at the absurdity, you can’t help but get invested, and enjoy the surprisingly solid action pieces. I loved it as a kid just getting into martial arts myself, and it’s still fun to come back to. Now, we’re finally getting it in 4K.

The Last Dragon will launch on 4K Ultra HD September 19th with a fancy limited edition steelbook and even an all new commentary track!

Martial arts student Leroy Green (Taimak) is on a quest to obtain the elusive all-powerful force known as “The Glow.” Along the way, he must battle the evil, self-proclaimed “Shogun of Harlem” – a kung fu warrior also known as Sho’nuff (Julius J. Carry III) – and rescue a beautiful singer (Prince protégée Vanity) from an obsessed record promoter. Combining pulsating music, cutting-edge dancing and the best in non-stop action, BERRY GORDY’S THE LAST DRAGON is kickin’ good fun featuring an amazing Motown soundtrack, including music by Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Vanity and DeBarge performing their smash hit “Rhythm of the Night.”
