On top of providing updates for Star Trek and Sonic The Hedgehog, Paramount gave Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans some news to chew on as well.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard much of anything regarding Seth Rogen’s upcoming animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film (pretty much nothing since it’s announcement in 2020). While details are still scarce, Paramount did offer an update for eager Shell-heads and confirmed the movie will launch next year.
That’s not all the heroes in a half-shell action coming up, however. The company also announced that a slate of “villain-driven TMNT films” are being developed exclusively for Paramount Plus. No real word on what those might look like (whether feature length, or more like hour-long specials), but I’m very much down for more TMNT action. Based on the wording, it sounds like these would follow on and share the same world/style of Rogen’s upcoming film.
All in all, I’m thrilled to see the Turtles franchise getting some more love. I’m also digging the logo they released, which pretty much copies the original/comic design. Gives me hope they’ll do some fun stuff with the story and overall animation style.
