Sega Announces Open Beta and Release date for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O

Today, Sega Corporation dropped a couple of announcements that will have Virtua Fighter fans running to steam. First, fans got a release date for Sega’s Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O which will hit Steam on January 28th, 2025, secondly, and quite possibly the bigger part of Sega’s announcements is that starting today, and running through December 17th, Sega has announced an open beta for the game as part of the game’s network playtest. Fans of the game can take advantage of the open beta by heading to the Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O Steam store page, and request access, once requested, players will receive an email letting them know the developers are ready to add more participants.

Along with the release date, and beta announcements, Sega also revealed the pre-order bonuses for those who pre-order the game, as well as the Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O 30th Anniversary Edition which celebrates 30 years of this beloved 3-D fighter. Pre-orders of the game will give players three different character customization options, that will allow fans to express their Sega love with equip-able back items for their characters, the items are the Sega Genesis (or Mega Drive for those outside the US), the Sega Saturn, and everyone’s favorite console, the Sega Dreamcast. Fans who pre-order now can enjoy a 20% discount on the cost of the game as well.

For those who opt for the 30th anniversary edition of the game, that purchase will snag you the full version of the game, along with the Virtua Fighter 30th anniversary swimsuit set, the anniversary sound collection, the secret setting documentation collection, a special anniversary edition title, the 3th anniversary, and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O wall paper sets,

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O takes the game play of the original Virtua Fighter 5 title, and breathes fresh life into it, with updated 4K visuals, Rollback and Netcode support, this release promises a fresh new feel to the game. Check out the updated images in the gallery below:
