It happens all the time, but hey two really talented teams just switched players.
The creative director of Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine has left the company entirely. Reports at GameFile state that the creative director, Brian Horton, has left the company sometime mid early this year. Instead of leading Wolverine he has switched to team Xbox, where he is taking on the same role with Perfect Dark which was showcased again earlier this year. It looks incredible as well. Previously Horton worked on Rise of the Tomb Raider before moving to Infinity Ward, and eventually landing at Insomniac.
Also leaving the team is Cameron Christian, the games director.
In the meantime it seems that Insomniac has replaced Horton with Marcus Smith, and the new game director being Mike Daly. Both of which had leading roles in the previously released Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, which has been one of PS5’s best overall games. So they at least have some experience within the Insomniac team for a while now.
Wolverine hasn’t had much information to go on since the games early reveal in 2021, with no additional news or trailers since. It has had a trouble time though with hackers releasing all the games files publicly. We should (maybe?) be hearing about the game soon as Insomniac hasn’t shown anything since releasing Spider-Man 2 on PC……
