Dragon Ball Daima English Dub Premier Date
Crunchyroll announced the English language dub of Dragon Ball Daima will debut next month!
English dub episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA will be released weekly, starting with Episode 1: “Conspiracy” which premieres on January 10, 2025. The English dub will stream on Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. There are more exciting Dragon Ball DAIMA announcements still to come from Crunchyroll regarding its other territories.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete Released
This week, Nintendo dropped a new, complete, version of their mobile Animal Crossing game, Pocket Camp.
This new, one-time purchase app is packed with many of the items and events that were released in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp over the course of seven years, along with newly added content. Exchange Leaf Tokens for in-game items, create and collect (via QR Code®) personalized player Camper Cards, check out the new Whistle Pass location and experience a variety of returning and new seasonal events throughout the year, to name a few examples.
Plus, the ability to import Custom Designs makes its debut in the new app! Players can create designs in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game for the Nintendo Switch system, then enter the Custom Design IDs in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete to bring their designs to the app. These custom designs can then be applied to in-game clothing, umbrellas, paths, flooring and more!
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is available now on iOS and Android devices for only $10 (it jumps to $20 after January 30th).
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Standalone Character Creator
To celebrate Dragon Age Day this week, Bioware released a free standalone version of their character creator for all platforms. It’s a fairly robust system, so this’ll let you play around and have fun with it, even without the full game. Even better, you’ll be able to transfer whatever characters you make to the full game whenever you want (so if you’re waiting for Christmas to get it, you can still be prepared).
First Trailer for ‘Last Breath’
Focus Features revealed the first trailer for Last Breath this week, starring Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu.
A heart-pounding film that follows seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. Based on a true story, LAST BREATH is an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible.
Last Breath hits theaters on February 28, 2025.
New Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Trailer
This week, Don’t Nod revealed a new trailer for the upcoming game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage; offering a deeper look at the characters and story.
This latest trailer sheds a new light on events and characters of the game and introduces darker themes like adversity and conflict. It invites players and fans to piece together fragmented memories and offers the closest look yet at the supernatural mysteries that the Abyss presents. What is the Abyss and how will it change the lives of Swann and friends?
Lost Records releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PCs with Part One (Bloom) hitting February 18, 2025 and Part Two (Rage) on March 18th.
Commandos: Origins Pushed to March
The upcoming RTS game, Commandos: Origins has been pushed out of it’s planned 2024 release, and will now drop in March 2025. The studios announced the delay this week, with the following statement:
“The Commandos franchise has always been rooted in tactical precision; offering different approaches to solve versatile missions. The teams at Claymore Game Studios and Kalypso Media are fully committed to honoring this legacy. With the valuable feedback we have collected from our devoted community, we’re now making the final adjustments needed to deliver the best possible tactical experience for our players” said Jürgen Reusswig, Studio Director at Claymore Game Studios, thanking the community for their insights.
The additional development time will focus on several core areas. Performance optimizations will address frame rate concerns for a smoother game experience. Enhanced AI will improve NPC responsiveness, while updated control schemes will make gameplay more intuitive, complementing the customizable key-bindings on Windows PC introduced in the Closed Beta and the demo. Additional updates to UI/UX will further enrich the player experience.
Commandos: Origins is set to hit PlayStation 4|5, Xbox consoles, and PCs.
Rivals Renewed for Season 2
Hulu’s Rivals, based on the novel by Dame Jilly Cooper (and starring David Tennant) has gotten a season 2 renewal. Which should come as a relief for fans considering the first season ended on a big ‘ol cliffhanger.

First Trailer for Doctor Who’s Christmas Special
This week, Disney+ dropped the first trailer for the newest Doctor Who Christmas Special, Joy to the World:

New From the World of John Wick: Ballerina Poster
Ahead of an appearance at this weekend’s CCXP, Lionsgate dropped a new poster for the upcoming John Wick spinoff, Ballerina.
The film’s stars Ana de Armas, Ian McShane, Norman Reedus along with Director Len Wiseman will travel to São Paulo for a special conversation which will also feature never-before-seen footage of the upcoming film.

New Mecha BREAK Story Trailer
Ahead of this year’s The Game Awards (where it will make an appearance), the developers have revealed a new trailer for Mecha BREAK focused on the story:
This story trailer explains the events that led to the current conflict that Mecha BREAK players will be participating in. A coronal mass ejection from the Sun kicked off geological disasters around the globe on a scale unmatched throughout human history. Humanity still clings to this transformed world, splintering into multiple different factions who are now battling over a mysterious new resource known as ‘Corite’. This battle for resource control has driven society into a new age, with each faction holding its own ulterior motives.
Mecha BREAK is set to hit PCs and Consoles in 2025. Hopefully The Game Awards will give us a date to mark down.
