Tamagotchi Plaza Arrives on Nintendo Switch This Summer

Bandai Namco revealed Tamagotchi Plaza during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, and revealing a Summer release date!

The world of Tamagotchi returns with a new casual game that will allow players to enjoy the cozy shopping world, while also being able to link up with the latest Tamagotchi physical toy for the first time.

Tamagotchi are back in TAMAGOTCHI PLAZA, as the memorable digital pet and pocket companion returns in a charming new casual game from Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. In this latest entry in the TAMAGOTCHI CONNECTION: CORENER SHOP series, players become shopkeepers in Tamahiko Town, engaging with more than 100 Tamagotchi as they open, customize and grow more than a dozen different shops and enhance their reputation in town.

TAMAGOTCHI PLAZA brings back the series’ unique and engaging experience of setting up quirky shops and serving cute characters. The Great Gotchi King has declared the Tamagotchi Fest will be held in the most exciting city on Tamagotchi Planet. It will be up to the player to help Prince Tamahiko turn Tamahiko Town into a lively place fit to welcome the festival. Players open and grow shops, with a dozen different shops that include the Dentist and other returning classics along with new shops such Afternoon Tea Shop, Eyeware Shop and more. Each shop features unique game play as players serve and attract customers, meeting more than 100 different Tamagotchi and enhancing their and Tamahiko Town’s reputation. Some shops feature couch co-op mini-games playable with a friend.

TAMAGOTCHI PLAZA features a linkage function with the Tamagotchi Uni. For the first time, players can connect with the latest toy model, the Tamagotchi Uni. By linking the Tamagotchi Uni, they will gain access to exclusive items, special events, and unique conversations not available in the base game, while supplies last. Tamagotchi Uni is sold separately and not available in all countries.

Tamagotchi Plaza launches for the Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2025.
