Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has revealed the destructive powers wielded by fused warriors in DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. A new trailer released today showcased dozens of newly revealed characters making up the epic roster in the upcoming game. It also highlighted the explosive abilities players can harness when two DRAGON BALL warriors fuse into one fighter. Developed by Spike Chunsoft and harnessing the power of Unreal® Engine 5, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO promises lightning-paced combat, large destructible environments, and stunning visuals powered by new-gen platforms to deliver the sequel to the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series fans have been waiting for after a more than a 15-year hiatus.
In the new trailer, fused warriors take center stage. These formidable warriors are based on the fusion of two characters, either by performing a fusion dance or wearing the Potara earrings that allow for a fusion to occur. The new trailer also reveals 21 additions to the playable character list, bringing the total roster to 82 and with many more to come. Fighters revealed today include fan-favorites Trunks (Kid), Goten, Gotenks, Gogeta (Super), Vegito and more.
Marking the return of the revered BUDOKAI TENKAICHI DRAGON BALL fighting game franchise, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO brings the series forward to a new era by pushing the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler. The game’s gravity-defying fights capture each DRAGON BALL character’s signature destructive powers and Ki abilities, all showcased in stunning detail with damage capable of destroying entire parts of the arena.
Still no release date for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero (hopefully one of the upcoming Summer Game Fest showcases will give us one), but the game is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PCs.
