Those of you who have been champing at the bit for more news on Lies of P‘s upcoming DLC Overture, champ no more! A new trailer has just released, this one delving a bit deeper into the story of the release, involving the city of Krat long before the events of the main game take place. The trailer confirms what was largely already recognized, that the DLC will be taking place in the past. Besides that, however, for a so-called “story trailer,” it does well to keep most of the major points of the story close to the vest. The trailer does show off the so-called “Legendary Stalker” present in many of the marketing materials, including their coat with the “M” logo.
This logo appears to be a central aspect of the trailer, as the camera focuses on it multiple times throughout. My best guess is that it has to do with the Monad Charity House, which ties in nicely with the fact that your guide character throughout the first game was a mysterious woman known as Sophia Monad.
What new stories await us in Old Krat? Will we be seeing more old storybook tales adapted into this world once more, or does Neowiz have a completely original story planned for us this time around? We’ll all find out together when Lies of P: Overture releases this summer!
