The TikTok ban doesn’t just impact the mega-popular video app, but also a number of other apps and mobile games that feature some pretty huge licensing agreements.
Apps by MOONTON and Nuverse, who are also owned by Bytedance, are impacting the in the ban, which went into effect on January 19 but app developers issued notices on loads up starting late January 18.
Other apps impacted also include the very popular CapCut editing app, Lark, Gauth, Lemon8, Fizzo, Melolo, Hypic, and Tokopedioa. Here are the mobile games impacted so far:
- Marvel Snap
- One Punch Man – The Strongest
-
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Adventure
- Mobile Legends: Adventure
-
Watcher of Realms
- Magic Rush: Heroes
- Legand of Empires: Dice Hero
- Land of Empires: Immortal
- Mission EVO
Whether these apps, including TikTok, will be saved will come down to whether a political move can save the company’s U.S. presence, or if the U.S. sector for the apps can be disentangled from ByteDance.
