New Mode, Iron Banner Release Date Discussed in Destiny 2: Revenant Act II Developer Livestream

Bungie hosted a Developer Livestream to showcase some of the new content coming in Destiny 2: Revenant Act II when it launches on November 19. The update will include new mode, new weapons, a Street Fight collab, and more.

The hour-long livestream was streamed on Twitch and shared on Youtube.

Developers discussed the new Tomb of Elders mode, which harkens back to the Prison of Elders from Destiny 1 that was introduced in the House of Wolves expansion in 2015. The mode was described as “very close to Riven’s Lair,” and will include both new and returning bosses, new enemy factions, survival-style gameplay, a new reputation system called “Warden’s Judgement,” and more.

Iron Banner will release on November 26 with some new armor sets and weapons, developers said in the live stream. Developers mentioned at around minute 40 that Destiny 2: Revenant Act III is planned to launch on January 7, which will include a new exotic weapon quest for a new exotic shotgun.

In a news release, Bungie included that gamers can expect three new weapons:

  • Noxious Vetiver submachine gun
  • Scavenger’s Fate shotgun
  • The reprised Gridskipper pulse rifle

And the update will also include five new artifact perks that include Curative Orb, Arc Compounding, The Thick of It, and Emergency Flare.
