PlayStation graced us with a great look at a number of upcoming titles at the latest State of Play showcase, including new trailers for two highly-anticipated upcoming releases.
Monster Hunter fans don’t have much longer to wait for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds which is set to launch on February 28. Developers have a number of post-launch updates planned for the game that will help the title “continue to evolve,” including the first major update planned for later this Spring.
The first major post-launch update will include the return of the leviathan Mizutsune. Developers also said in a news release that, starting the week after the game’s launch, players will see the introduction of Event Quests that will feature special armor rewards.
Capcom also gave us a look at the first extended look at Onimusha: Way of the Sword. where we were introduced to the game’s protagonist Miyamoto Musashi.
Musashi is a legendary figure in Japanese history that Capcom describes as “a fierce young samurai who, in a supernatural twist of fate, finds himself wielding an Oni Gauntlet and battling hordes of demonic Genma.”
Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny was revealed to be remastered with a release date set for May 23 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. The updates will include more difficulty settings, new quality-of-life features, and modern improvements like auto-save, skippable cutscenes and more.
