Double Dragon fans continue to eat well. Just last year, we got a swanky new game in the franchise with Double Dragon Gaiden, which retained the classic retro-style of the originals. It was a solid treat for fans of the series, but now there’s even more to look forward to with the announcement of Double Dragon Revive!
The franchise has had a…rough history in making the jump to modern aesthetics, but I’m excited nonetheless. I loved this franchise growing up and thrilled to see it keeps finding new life (and fans).
In Double Dragon Revive, players will find modern belt-scroll action and exhilarating gameplay. Both longtime fans and newcomers to the series will once again be able to experience the action-packed thrills of Billy and Jimmy Lee as they face off a variety of powerful foes from their past!
The new title features the same intuitive gameplay fans expect with refined controls that leverage the advanced power and technical capabilities of today’s platforms. Throughout Double Dragon Revive’s updated stages, players will find themselves adapting their combat skills and picking up scattered weapons in the midst of battle, creating new opportunities to gain the upperhand.
Double Dragon Revive is set to hit PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Consoles, and PCs at some point in 2025.
