Today, Bandai Namco launched the seventh season of its asymmetrical multiplayer game Dragon Ball: The Breakers. This time around, the season leans into the world of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, with characters, rewards and multipliers from and inspired by the film.
Dr. Hedo’s misguided androids, Gamma 1 and 2, enter the battle as a new raider. Players will swap between the two for the first two stages before commanding them as a pair in stage 3. Stage 4 sees the raider player continue as a jetpack toting, optical camo wearing Magenta in an attempt to activate the true final threat of the stage, Cell Max. The survivors, meanwhile, must scramble to find a way to transform into a Giant Orange Piccolo in order to take on the massive Cell Max.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers players will also be treated this season to daily login rewards, Super Warrior Spirits and Spirit Siphon Tickets that can be used to unlock limited-time characters, as well as multipliers in effect to increase experience, Zeni and Super Warrior Spirit gains for the whole season.
With seven seasons soon under its belt, Dragon Ball: The Breakers is proving that it plans to go the distance. A raider with more misunderstood motives makes for an interesting change of pace in the game’s core loop that should keep things fresh!
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC via STEAM®, and is compatible with PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. You can find more information on the game at www.bandainamcoent.com/games/dragon-ball-the-breakers.
