We’re no strangers to Arcade1Up over here, but we’re always excited to get our hands on them when we can. I was fortunate enough to snag the Mortal Kombat II Deluxe cabinet, which features 14 total games and a sleek, riser-less design. Though it launched last year, there’s plenty of reason to put this on your wishlist this holiday season.

As you can tell, I greatly enjoyed this release. The riser-less design really helps capture the feel of the old-school arcade machines even better, along with the smaller touches that just make it feel more polished overall. While a different (or expanded) selection of games would have been nice for this update, it’s still great to have these options all in one unit rather than having to get all the separate cabinets.

If you’re shopping for a gamer this Christmas season, or just looking for something to spotlight in your own gaming room, don’t hesitate to pull the trigger on this one. The screen/display improvements alone are worth the update and it’s easily the best version of these games you can get (in this format).

Arcade1Up’s Mortal Kombat II Deluxe cabinet is currently available in stores and online. You can learn more about the cabinet—and track down a store to buy it from—directly at their website.
