Do video games cause violence?

Most of us know the answer to whether or not video games cause violence, but for this week’s episode I brought back Patrick Scott Patterson to talk about the “why.”

The correlation between violence in society and violence in video games has been a pervasive argument that has been a sideline to national tragedies for decades — most recently with the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Scott joined me on the inaugural episode of KakeBytes to talk about the importance of preservation with regards to video game history and I was more than happy to bring him back this week to talk to him about his history with video game advocacy.
