5 DLC Packs We’d Love To See in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

With LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally on the horizon, we have some thoughts on which minifigs/levels should arrive in future DLC.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is finally arriving this year and will be in players’ hands on April 5th. As with any modern LEGO game, it will be coming with its share of additional content, this time in the form of Character Packs.

The five currently announced packs include; The Mandalorian Season 1 and 2, The Bad Batch, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. But with a franchise as broad as Star Wars, there is still a lot of content that would be great to see in the game and many fans will likely already be hoping for it. Below are my top 5 picks and the 5 characters that could make up each pack.

The Clone Wars

The Clone Wars is home to a large group of iconic characters introduced in the series. The show’s anthology-style led to branching storylines that fleshed out largely separate characters in the growing conflict of The Clone Wars.

My prediction for the characters included in a pack are; Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Cad Bane, Asajj Ventress, and Savage Opress. Ahsoka’s inclusion already seems likely in The Mandalorian Season 2 pack but her Clone Wars appearances are just as iconic if not more so.

It’s surprising that a pack for the series hasn’t been confirmed already considering how much of a fan favorite it is. But some of these characters may still make an appearance even without this specific pack.

Rebels

Another popular animated series, Rebels’ tight-knit family ensemble presents potential inclusions in a character pack of fairly easy picks. The main group of the show consists of six members including Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Hera Syndulla, Zeb Orellios, Sabine Wren, and Chopper.

However, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will introduce the companion feature, enabling characters like Grogu or a Porg to be featured as NPC’s that will follow the player around. Potentially Chopper could be similarly featured, maybe with a gameplay function involving the ability to command Chopper to perform tasks.

The small core cast would make a character pack fairly satisfying for any anticipating fans though would likely omit any villains like The Grand Inquisitor or Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The Book of Boba Fett

The Book of Boba Fett will have only wrapped up a couple of months prior to the game’s launch, still maintaining some recent relevance that the Lucasfilm Games and TT may want to seize.

Boba’s new look would be a given for a character but Fennec might already feature in The Mandalorian DLC packs. Assuming that’s the case, the best predictions for characters featured in this pack would be; Crime Lord Boba Fett, Tuskan Boba Fett, Black Krrrsntan, Drash, and Pyke Henchmen.

That being said, as of writing this the finale has not been released so a surprise cameo may provide new interesting additions. The penultimate episode already featured a lot though they likely overlap with already announced packs.

Jedi: Fallen Order

Jedi: Fallen Order introduced fans to Cal Kestis, a surviving Jedi Padawan 5 years after Order 66 who is hunted by the Empire and their lethal Inquisitors. The game introduced a new fun cast of characters and has received confirmation of a sequel.

The game’s core cast matches the five characters count perfectly with Cal Kestis, Cere Junda, Greez Dritus, Merrin, and the Second Sister. As mentioned before, the game will be introducing a companion feature, this would work perfectly for BD-1 who could sit on Cal’s shoulder like in Fallen Order.

Fallen Order has solidified itself as an iconic member of the large gallery of Star Wars games, it would be great to see its transition into another game in the Star Wars universe.

Galaxy’s Edge

The Disneyworld Star Wars experience has its whole own section of lore in the galaxy far far away, with a cast of characters that have become popular residents of Batuu. From the park itself to the tie-in comics and books, there are some obvious choices for character inclusions.

Characters could include; Vi Moradi, Dok Ondar, Hondo Ohnaka, R-3X, and Captain Cardinal, The pack would be a lot of fun for those who visited Galaxy’s Edge or enjoyed its tie in the material. However, the pack also strikes me as a unique advertising opportunity for Disney by presenting new characters to players who are potentially unfamiliar with them.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is confirmed to contain over 300 characters with over 200 already spotted in released promotional material, to expect every single character fans could want may be unfair. But it’s hard to deny there is a lot of content TT could put together to expand their already stunning new venture in a galaxy far far away.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga releases on all platforms on April 5th, 2022.
