Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed Again

You’ll have to wait a bit longer to play the latest Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Originally the game was set to be a hot date for Valentine’s Day, scheduled for February 14th, but now you’ll have to wait an extra month. Ubisoft claimed that due to their renewed focus on game quality, the game has been delayed until March 20th to give the developers an extra month to work things out.

“This additional time will allow the team to better incorporate the player feedback gathered over the past three months and help create the best conditions for launch by continuing to engage closely with the increasingly positive Assassin’s Creed community,” Ubisoft explained in a press release.

Interestingly this puts the game right at the end of the companies fiscal year, which ends March 31st, meaning the game will only have 10 days of sales to accommodate a financial report. It might have very little impact, which will lead to a poor fiscal report, and that isn’t good with Ubisoft currently exploring options to sell to other major companies. Currently talks between Tencent and Ubisoft seem to be underway for a potential buyout, but Ubisoft has struggled the past year….and stock prices have reached their lowest since 2015.

Perhaps the stacked February line up of games scared Ubisoft a bit?
