New Trailer for Strategy Game ‘W.I.L.D. Tactics’ Revealed at Guerilla Collective

We’ve got our first look at the upcoming video game W.I.L.D. Tactics.

Developer The Wild Gentlemen and publisher Joystick Ventures have revealed WILD Tactics, the turn-based strategy game set in the World of Wilderness popularized by Chicken Police, with an animated trailer at Guerrilla Collective.

An unlikely, anthropomorphic squad of former soldiers, police, and criminals must save the Wilderness, the city introduced in Chicken Police: Paint it RED! Go on missions running the gamut from stealthy operations to all-out offensive assaults, utilizing each level’s environmental features in a tactical experience inspired by classics like XCOM.

Engage in missions that run the gamut from covert operations to all-out assaults on enemy forces. Utilize the environment to find effective hiding spots, and gain the high ground on foes, striving for every advantage. Use each hero’s skills to gain the upper hand in battle, and discover the backstory that led these anthropomorphic fighters here.

“The reception to the original Chicken Police and its distinctive characters led us to think about how we could explore this world further, ” said Bánk Varga, Co-Founder at The Wild Gentleman. “We’re aiming to combine a fresh playstyle in the world with tactics-driven gameplay, with the strong narrative hooks and character moments that compelled people.”

WILD Tactics is in development for Steam for PC with further platforms to be announced at a later date. What do you think of the game?
